Serifs are the tiny strokes added to the end of letterforms that evoke feelings of history, tradition, honesty, and integrity. The Serif Sculpture derives from Kristina Dam’s unique passion for lettering and her tribute to the little but strong character. It is an interplay with the soft surface of stoneware and deep reflections of light and shadow. The juxtaposition between the hard and cold nature of the material, balanced by the smooth and subtle strokes of the design, stimulates the interaction between the observer and the object.
